Welcome to the revamped photo gallery. The photos are now divided
up by topic, although keep in mind, there was a lot of cross-over between scenes, so for example, if you're afraid of missing something OC related be sure to check out the HB section, and vice versa.
Unfortunately there didn't seem to be an easier way to divide the photos section
up into more navigable categories, other than to separate into
geographic sections. (So where a photo might end up is somewhat arbitrary). The Los Angeles/General section ALSO contains bands that weren't
from Los Angeles, but played here (thus I was able to take a photo). All of the photos on the website are either from my personal collection, or from people who have graciously donated photos to the website. Unfortunately Flipside's photo archives were lost during the final years of it's existence. It's times like this that I wished I'd spent more time taking photos of bands (instead of just my friends) and less time in parking lots. A significant number of photos were graciously donated. To that end, I'd like to thank Steve Crusinberry, Jay & Mary Thurston, and Patrick Houdek for their VERY generous donations to the photos section. Not all the photo pages are up at this time. I'm in the process of revamping the remaining sections, so please check back occasionally. If you have any old punk photos (circa 1977 through 1984) and would like to donate, please send me an email. All photos are watermarked to protect them from theft. Submissions will be fully credited to their donors.
