Coming Soon:  A punk rock death registry and database.   

It seems sad that one would have to even consider setting up such  a registry, but I am alarmed at the sheer number of deaths I'm hearing about.  I'm sure many of you can think of old punk acquaintances,  friends or known band members who you've heard of that have died  well before  reaching their 40s. 

 I have been very interested in this topic for sometime. I'm sure if someone was to do a mortality rate study on the death rates of first-generation punks, it would be very interesting.   This will be a community effort. I'm counting on you out there to step up to the plate and help me create this. I can probably dig up some names and facts via research, if it was published on the web or in newspapers. However, many lesser known individuals didn't make the papers, so it's up to the community to try and put together records of such individuals the best we can. I hope to have a submissions form so you can just go to the registry page and submit the information that way.
